Garmin Marq 2: the second generation!
We present MARQ (Gen 2), the second generation. The new era of excellence. Garmin announces the second generation of MARQ, an exclusive collection that enriches the previous edition with five new luxury tool watches: MARQ Athlete, MARQ Adventurer, MARQ Golfer, MARQ Captain and MARQ Aviator.
The name of each model recalls the activity for which it was designed, and if the MARQ Athlete has various functions and workouts related to physical activity and sport, the Aviator also includes the airport database and weather reports, the Golfer has 42,000 preloaded golf courses, the Adventurer has TopoActive multicontinental maps, the Captain has a regatta timer, tide alert and anchor plowing alert.
From a design point of view, compared to the previous generation, the new MARQs have several new features. On all models, the 46 mm case is made of grade 5 titanium and the screen is a 1.2” AMOLED touch screen protected by a domed sapphire crystal. The bezel is a monobloc ceramic disc, or it is sintered in the hollowed compartment of the same, or it is in titanium worked in bas-relief.
The straps can be in Italian leather with FKM rubber, in titanium, and also include silicone and nylon. On all models it is possible to replace them thanks to the 22 mm quick coupling and release.
The MARQ Gen 2 detect heart rate, respiration and stress, perform sleep analysis, and have the Garmin Body-Battery which is used to manage the user's energy and to indicate the right time to train or to rest .
The functions also include the new Jet Lag Adviser which helps minimize the effects of jet lag using the user's sleep history and other parameters stored in the watch. It then provides a sleep and exercise schedule, suggesting what to do and what time to adjust to the new time zone.
All new MARQ models support multiband GNSS, multifrequency GPS (L1 + L5) and Garmin SatIQ technology, which promises positioning accuracy while also optimizing battery life.
The autonomy declared by Garmin for the MARG Gen 2 is 16 days in smartwatch mode. There is a magnetic charger in the box, and the smartwatches are compatible with Android and iPhone.
