2026 marks a historic milestone for the watchmaking world: the 50th anniversary of the launch of the world's first solar-powered watch by CITIZEN. To celebrate this half-century of innovation tied to its famous proprietary Eco-Drive® technology , the Japanese brand has announced the launch of a limited-edition model with a highly evocative name: the CITIZEN PROMASTER "LIGHT in BLACK" (Ref. BN0264-53E).

The design of this limited edition draws inspiration directly from the two inseparable elements of Eco-Drive technology: light and time.
Visually, the watch imagines a single ray of light illuminating the darkness. The steel case and bracelet are plated in a deep charcoal grey color, creating an extraordinary contrast with the yellow gold details featured on the bezel and the crown.
The real magic, however, happens on the dial:
- Three-dimensional depth: thanks to advanced multi-layer inkjet printing technology, the black dial takes on shifting hues depending on the angle of the reflected light.
