Classic Worldtimer Manufacture: the fourth dimension
Until today, the Classic Worldtimer Manufacture stood out with three emblematic shades of the Earth: the white of daylight, the black of night, and the blue of the oceans. Now, a new limited edition enriches the collection with a color eagerly awaited by collectors: the green of forests.
Available in an 18K rose gold case (36 pieces) with a 42mm diameter, this model features a refined background world map, a date window, and an elegant dark green leather strap. The in-house movement enables the reading of time zones on the 24-hour disc, paired with reference cities, along with a hand-indicated date display. All of this while maintaining maximum simplicity: every function is adjustable via a single crown.
This new variant introduces a chromatic dimension absent since 2018: the green of forests and mountains, symbolizing the nature that envelops the planet. A color now among the most sought-after in haute horology, perfectly in harmony with the collection’s aesthetic.
On the dial, the world map is enhanced by a sunburst finish that reflects shimmering green tones depending on the light. The continents, sculpted in relief on a higher level, stand out sharply thanks to a polished finish that distinguishes them from the oceans. At 6 o’clock, the date counter reflects Frederique Constant’s craftsmanship excellence: a finely notched profile, a matte ring for glare-free reading, and a center with a guilloché soleil finish that enhances the precision of the date hand. The rest of the dial is also designed for optimal readability. The hour markers are coated with Super-LumiNova for perfect visibility even in the dark, while the outer profile harmonizes with the hue of the case and the rose gold hands. These hands, also luminescent, glide over an intuitive and legible dial: the 24 reference cities are written in full, without abbreviations, and the 24-hour disc clearly distinguishes day, in a light shade, from night, in dark green. This eliminates the need for a separate day/night indicator, contributing to a cleaner and more elegant design.
Faithful to Frederique Constant’s philosophy, the Maison’s timepieces combine refinement and functionality. The Classic Worldtimer Manufacture is a perfect example: all adjustments are made using the crown, ensuring intuitive use. Without pulling it out, the automatic movement is wound, offering a 38-hour power reserve. At the first position, the worldtimer function is set: rotating upwards adjusts the date, while rotating downwards controls the city disc, aligning the desired time zone at 12 o’clock. At the second position, the hours and minutes are set, with the 24-hour disc automatically adapting. This sophisticated precision mechanism can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back, decorated with Côtes de Genève finishes and perlage work, in keeping with the finest Swiss watchmaking traditions.
The new Classic Worldtimer Manufacture is available exclusively in a limited edition: the 18K rose gold version with matching details (hands, crown, indices, and deployant buckle) is produced in just 36 pieces.
