This model celebrates the 60th anniversary of the legal victory won by Dr. Rolf Portmann against the Swiss Watchmaking Statute, a protectionist regulation that for decades had prevented Oris from producing movements with anchor escapements.
The 35.00 mm steel case features the iconic barrel (tonneau) shape with integrated lugs, maintaining the proportions and modernist style of the original.
The minimalist silver dial is embellished with double applied baton hour markers and square-tipped hands, both with Super-LumiNova® inserts for optimal readability.
Vintage appeal is enhanced by the Plexiglas crystal and asymmetrical date window positioned at 3 o'clock. Inside beats the Oris Caliber 733, a Swiss Made automatic movement with 41 hours of power reserve and fine-adjustment functions. The steel, screw-down case back is engraved with the historic Oris shield from the 1960s.
