The five Seiko King model automatic watches share a bold and refined design, but linear and comfortable to wear, inspired by the 1965 KSK and the result of an extreme search for functionality and ease of use. The combination of a flat dial with faceted indexes and large razor blade hands gives the watch a refined and striking character. The powerful faceted lugs have sharp angles and large flat surfaces, with mirror and brushed finishes, which create a three-dimensional effect. The index at twelve o'clock, more than twice as wide as the others, has a patterned texture specially designed to ensure high legibility and give the dial an attention-grabbing brilliance. The three-dimensional indexes are applied with a diamond-cut processing that resonates beautifully with the sunray-finished dial. The case is designed in such a way that when combined with the box-shaped sapphire crystal, it gives this watch a subtle and elegant feel. An anti-reflective coating on the inner surface of the glass ensures excellent readability from all angles. The flat bracelet pays homage to the design of the original King Seiko series and features an alternation of scratched and mirror finish: its numerous beveled surfaces reflect light in a dynamic and always different way. Powered by the 6R31 caliber, the watch has a 70-hour power reserve and is water resistant to 100 meters.
