The watch takes inspiration from the 1938 model by mixing materials, finishes and functions to offer a contemporary and ultra-reliable pilot's watch. The ProPilot GMT's second time zone is indicated by a central hand finished with a red pointer. The pulsometer scale on the bezel for measuring heart rate is inspired by the relationships Oris has with some of the most cutting-edge aeromedical organizations in the world.
Legibility is always fundamental in a pilot's watch. The PVD-plated matte gray finish subdues the cockpit glare, while the brilliant lume of the applied hands and indexes makes them stand out against the high-contrast gradient red dial. The watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement with a 42-hour power reserve and is equipped with a coated black fabric strap.
