Since the announcement of their partnership in June 2022, Frederique Constant and French musician and producer The Avener have been working on future hits together, and two have been released today: a pair of limited-edition pieces housed in a 39-millimetre steel case designed by the artist, with 432 of each available. That number is no accident: 432Hz is widely held to be the perfect frequency, delivering all the calm of absolute harmony. The first piece features a black dial with a pattern depicting the frequencies monitored on a recording studio console in a dark blue reminiscent of the late-night sets played by The Avener. The second is all in black, with the same sound waves depicted by a subtle interplay of reliefs and finishings in a circular layout. Each watch bears an inscription dear to the artist: ‘a tempo’, meaning ‘return to the original speed’.

Today, this horological-musical friendship is celebrated by two models produced in 432 pieces each. A number, 432, which was not chosen by chance, since it is considered the value of the perfect frequency, a relaxing frequency, that of absolute harmony. Inside them beats the automatic caliber FC-303, visible from the case back thanks to an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, which offers 38 hours of power reserve. As for the dial, three hands and a date window move with the passage of time. The word "in time" is the icing on the cake: so dear to The Avener, this typical expression of the scores indicates the resumption of normal tempo after a faster or slower parenthesis, a resumption of rhythm in BPM, the beats per minute, they would say rather DJs talking about their creations.

The FC-303TA3NH6B watch has a blue decoration that runs from left to right across the black dial of the Highlife model. This chromatic choice has a decidedly special meaning for The Avener: it recalls, in fact, the blue of his first album, a global success driven by the single Fade Out Lines. The creation seems to capture a fragment of his music, a few bars of score. A dial that combines the rhythm of the musician and producer with that of precision Swiss mechanics.

This model is also completed by two additional bracelets or straps equipped with an interchangeable system which makes changing from bracelet to strap extremely simple. In this model we have a variant equipped with a combination of steel or black rubber.

The packaging was designed exclusively for this limited series. It is a faithful reproduction of a flight case, the hard case that follows musicians during their tour. Reinforced to be extremely resistant, the flight case is the symbol of concerts, the behind-the-scenes atmosphere and the most precious materials. Here the artist's Highlife takes place, at the center of a black interior, wrapped in the additional strap and the signature of the limited edition.
