The acronym GMT is used to indicate a second time zone, but not necessarily that of Greenwich. This complication, which has become popular, is now commonly used by travelers. Bell & Ross has made aviation, in particular aeronautical instruments, its peculiarity. His designs very often correspond to specifications created by and for professional users.

The new BR 03-93 GMT timepiece provides the time in three different locations around the world. How does it work? The GMT hand is distinguished by the large red triangle which is perfectly visible both day and night. Turning around the dial in 24 hours, this fourth hand displays a second time zone (or local time on a 24-hour scale). For the first time, the iconic square case is complemented by a bidirectional bezel. The BR 03 case has been specially modified to accommodate this new functional bezel that allows the reading of the second time zone but can also display a third. Turning it clockwise subtract the hours and counterclockwise add them. The bezel - which adopts the same color scheme as the dial - features a 24-hour graduated scale. Bell & Ross opted for shades of red and black. The red section - a color known for its explicit, clear and dynamic properties - indicates the day, while the black section indicates the night. In this way, the two-tone anodized aluminum bezel provides an optimal visual contrast for a precise reading of the time.
