We are pleased to announce a beautiful new watch in support of our friends at the Reef Restoration Foundation, the Australian non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the Great Barrier Reef. The foundation was established in 2016, pioneering coral planting initiatives along the world's largest and most diverse reef to counteract the effects of ocean warming and devastating coral bleaching. The limited edition watch, restricted to 2,000 pieces, features the Aquis Redesign characteristics and is the first limited edition Aquis Date 43.50 mm equipped with the Caliber 400. It is also the first Oris watch with a dial gradient that descends towards 12 o'clock, instead of radiating from the center. This effect mimics the turquoise and blue waters of the Great Barrier Reef crossed by air, and the refraction of the sun's rays on the surface. The hallmark features of the Aquis remain: the unidirectional rotating bezel with gray tungsten insert, screw-down crown with protection, Super-LumiNova® details, Oris' patented quick strap exchange and quick adjustment systems, and water resistance up to 30 bar (300 meters).
